Terms of sale and use.

Who you are buying from

Software branded appetised is sold by Graeme Boulton, trading as appetised, of 32 Comfrey Drive, Morpeth, NE61 3FN, United Kingdom. Contact help@appetised.com.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the merchant of record. Paddle appears on your statement, issues your receipt, and handles sales tax and VAT.

Your licence

Buying a licence grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use that product. Unless a product page says otherwise, a licence covers the devices or seats stated at the point of sale, used by you or within your organisation.

You may not resell, sublicense, rent out or redistribute our software, or attempt to circumvent its licensing.

Where a purchase includes a period of updates, the software you have keeps working after that period ends. What lapses is entitlement to newer releases, never the version you paid for.

What our software may change on your device

Some of our desktop software adjusts settings on your computer in order to do its job, and may request operating-system permissions to do so. Each product states plainly, before purchase, what it changes and what permissions it needs, and provides a way to undo those changes.

Some of our software also relies on operating-system interfaces that the platform vendor does not publicly document. These can change without notice in an operating-system update, which may temporarily affect how a product works until we release a fix. Where this applies, it is stated on that product's page.

Availability of hosted services

Where a product is a hosted service rather than software you install, we aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. Planned maintenance is announced where practical.

No warranty

Our software is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will remain compatible with future versions of any operating system or third-party service.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to a remedy for digital content that is faulty or not as described.

Liability

Our liability in connection with any product is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated for future purchases. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones published on the day you bought.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
